Malda worked with George Hardi for 30 years managing all aspects of the companies within the group and the day to day management of the eight facilities.
She has represented the industry with the Commonwealth Government during the implementation of the aged care act 1997 in the following areas:

Member of the ‘Standards Sub-Group of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Working Group’ which developed the new aged care accreditation standards and associated guidelines for all facilities in Australia.
Member of the "complaints sub-group" which assisted in the formulation of the resident rights complaints module.
Member of the ‘expert panel’ with the newly formed Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency which will be responsible for the accreditation process for all facilities in Australia.
A member of the ‘education advisory panel’ with the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency.
